Thank you very much for letting us know of this extra information from Xiao Zhan's interview, I just love the very natural and flawless way Xiao Zhan just improvised this scene and makes it fit in with his natural playful character, he makes it look very natural and cute. There are actually plenty of good looking chinese actors (especially female ones) but because western people dont show much interest in chinese shows or drama (and only for example watch korean drama) they have a different image of chinese people. I'm just here to say I absolutely love what they did with Nie Mingjue in the series and that he is my favorite. Wang Yizhou portrayed him so well, I love all his scenes, no exception.
He does have a couple of very powerful scenes that took a ton of energy.
You know when an actor is really good because they can be at the back of the scene and not in it and act exactly as their character would. Hats off to Wang Hao Xuan for playing Xue Yang so well.
